Travelling with a vehicle

If you travel to Formentera with a vehicle or motorcycle from outside the island in high season (from June 1 to September 30, both included), you must reserve a place here Booking website to drive in Formentera

After requesting authorization, on the same website you can check the status of the entry authorization with the registration number.

You also have the option of renting the vehicle or motorcycle in Formentera and you will not have to carry out these steps.

IMPORTANT: Only valid for 100% electric vehicles without combustion engine (hybrids not included).

If you're travelling with a vehicle (either car or motorcycle), you must arrive to the port at the required time in advance according to the line:

*If the route is from Formentera to Denia, boarding will be done 60 minutes before (not the other way around from Denia to Formentera).

⌚ If you fail to comply with the established times, we can't guarantee you'll be able to board.

You can change your registration through the "MY RESERVATIONS" section of the website, as long as:

• DO NOT change the brand and model of it
• You have NOT travelled any of the trips of the booking

In this case it will not imply any additional cost. If the change implies a change of model and brand, there will be a repricing and you will not be able to manage it independently.

You can modify it at any time before your departure, once you have completed one of the routes you will not be able to modify it.

 You must verify with your rental company that you're allowed to board the rental vehicle, as some companies don't allow it.

If you know the license plate number of the rental car, you can book the reservation as if it were a normal car.

Once you know the license plate number of the rental car, you'll need to contact us again to add it to your reservation with no additional cost.

🚶🏽🚲 If you embark on foot 

You must select the vehicle box and indicate the number of bicycles.
One bicycle per passenger can be shipped.

🚘🚲If you board by car

If you ship your bicycle/s in your vehicle with a bicycle rack, you should not select the number of bicycles but you should take into account:

• In the upper part of the vehicle (roof): it will be considered as the total height of the vehicle from the ground to the highest part with the bicycle and cargo. Will incur an additional charge for the extra height.
• At the rear of the vehicle (tailgate, flatbed or non-motorized trailer): The total length of the vehicle, from the beginning of the body to the rear end including the trailer, may not exceed 7 meters. If these measures are exceeded, additional charges will be incurred per meter exceeded.
  • If the bicycles are anchored to the vehicle gate and the total length does not exceed 7 meters in length, they are considered included within the vehicle's measurements.
  • In the case of vans, commercial vehicles, caravans or other types of special vehicles, it will be reserved according to the total length.
• Hitch/Ball:
  • Simple hitch: A bicycle hitch is attached and not on a platform with wheels.
  • Platform hitch: Attached to a platform with wheels and towed by the main vehicle or tractor unit (processed as an additional trailer)
• Bike trailer: In this case it is processed as an additional trailer.
