🚩 IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE EXPORT OF VEHICLES (CARS AND VANS) ON THE VALENCIA–MOSTAGANEM ROUTE

According to the announcement by the Algerian Ministry of Transport, vehicles may not be exported on the Valencia–Mostaganem route from 1 January 2027 onwards.

1. The customer must first make a standard booking (passenger + vehicle) through our website: https://www.balearia.com/fr, or by visiting our agency at the port of Valencia or Barcelona, or through their travel agency.

   The vehicle registered in the booking must be the one intended for export, and its characteristics must comply with the customs regulations for the export of vehicles by private individuals to Algeria.

    

2. Once the passenger and vehicle booking has been confirmed, in order to guarantee boarding, the customer must obligatorily send the DAE customs documentation (Export Accompanying Document) and their booking to the following email address: export.algerie@balearia.com if travelling via Valencia, or to exportacion.barcelona@balearia.com if travelling via Barcelona, at least 6 hours before the vessel's departure. The DAE must indicate the vehicle's registration number and full chassis number (numbers and letters), as well as the port of departure for the journey. 
    

3. The customer must arrive at the port on the day of travel at least 4 hours before the departure time if travelling from Valencia and at least 6 hours before if travelling from Barcelona, and be in possession of all the documentation required for the journey. 
   
   If the customer is not the owner of the car, they must present the following documentation to the customs authorities:

   - Valid vehicle registration document.
   - Written authorisation for the transfer of the vehicle. The document must be original and signed by the owner of the car and by the person who will transport it to Algeria. The document must be signed and stamped by a notary, town hall or competent public authority.
   - Copy of the identity document or passport of the owner of the car and of the person who will transport the vehicle to Algeria.
    

4. Booking with dinars: 
   1. If the customer has a booking made with dinars from Algeria which includes an export vehicle, the amount for boarding the export vehicle will be included in their booking. 
   2. If the customer has a booking made with dinars which does not include an export vehicle and
      1. If they are in Spain, they must pay the fixed sum of 50 euros at the ticket office for boarding the export vehicle, so that they can be issued with the passenger boarding pass and the boarding authorisation for the vehicle intended for export.

      2. If they are in Algeria, they may pay the fee in dinars.   

         
          

5. IMPORTANT: DEPARTURES FROM BARCELONA: If the customer is carrying more than 3 items per passenger of any type of goods in the vehicle, it is strongly recommended that they present an export DUA.
