European Union citizens residing in the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Ceuta, or Melilla can benefit from a 75% discount on the passenger fare or an 89% discount in the case of Formentera residents.
However, the exact discount may not always be reflected in the final price. This may be because the subsidy only applies to the passenger, not to any additional services purchased. Thus, the ticket portion for the vehicle is not eligible for the discount (unless you have an authorized parking card, TEA) nor is the passage of pets, the purchase of additional services like internet or onboard meals, or the transport of special cargo.
On the other hand, the cost of passage in different accommodations*, such as seat, superior seat, VIP lounge, or cabin, depending on the accommodations offered on the specific route, is eligible for the discount.
*The Exterior Cabin accommodation is not eligible for a discount on routes with origin or destination in Melilla.
